This is optional but has tight time limit. Make 2 Koatl archers.Ħ) Just south of elemental portal, the noble werewolf quest is triggered. Attack the elementals first, then their portal.ĥ) When elemental portal is destroyed, you get a new temple to Koatl, which you should upgrade immediately and research all abilities including the damage protection, which all your heroes automatically benefit from - this is very helpful. (the explore flag trick - you know, right?)Ĥ) When you have a large army (30+ heroes) and all units have best gear/upgrades, send a large group at the elementals but leave some to defend home. Make sure new heroes get money quickly to buy potions and good armor or they will be sitting ducks. Then upgrade all to level 3, add at least one more of each guild (sometimes two). Shortly after heroes are locked in battle, I find it more efficient to remove protect flag from tower (with ranged enemies fighting ranged defenders from distance out of tower range, it may not trigger the melee fighters to defend the tower) and instead put attack flags on the enemy heroes (archers of helia first, then wizards, rangers, last of all clerics and warriors).ģ) In between fighting enemy waves, upgraded palace to level 2, then marketplace, guilds and blacksmith to level 2. The best anti-swarm units are liches and minotaurs with their AOE attacks although their most devastating attacks won't be seen until you max out their guilds and even then they need support from other units. When swarms come, put protect flags on the towers on same side. My single trading post east of town would occasionally get destroyed by groups of enemy heroes but I kept rebuilding itĢ) built two towers defending S side of base, one tower on E side. Avoided the ancient guard towers with fear flags. One tip: when resurrecting hero, immediately give them minimum 200 gold in explore flag outside graveyard so they can top up health potions (and more if you want them to buy better armor and other stufff) Otherwise, they will likely keep getting killed over and over again especially if they haven't bought any good armor yet.ġ) 1 guild of everything, statue, destroyed rangers guilds, then just defended while upgrading guilds and making blacksmith. Apart from that, I think a certain number of deaths are par for the course. Mostly minotaurs - I blame the bug where minotaurs do not upgrade their equipment past "improved" level. Just take your time, there is no time limit for main quest, even if it takes you 140 days to slowly build up a very large powerful army. This game must have been developed by a masochist. I never, EVER use cheats in games (because most games don't cheat as badly as this one does) but if ever there was a game that needed them, it's Majesty 2.naturally, it's the only modern game in existence that has not a single cheat. How the hell am I supposed to fend this off? I realize I am supposed to destroy those elementals and get those lizard things to join me, but the moment I put a bounty on the elemental hub, I get mobbed by groups of 30 rangers/rogues/clerics (I am NOT exaggerating, I counted them all). Also as an added bonus, I'm being constantly harassed by a level 20 dragon which requires all my heroes to pound at it constantly in order to kill it, thus taking them away from defensive/offensive/exploration duties every 5 minutes or so. They overwhelm and out heal any of my damage dealers causing them to either die or run away, and if I do magically manage to fend off that one wave, it returns even stronger (and leveled up) within about 5 minutes, eventually overrunning my base, and causing me to spend ludicrous amounts of gold resurrecting and reforming parties. The groups usually consist of around 10 rogues + 10 rangers + 5 to 10 clerics. I can destroy the rangers guilds and get the minotaur temples up, but soon after I start being overwhelmed by MASSIVE numbers of enemy heroes. I do the usual shtick, building up my heroes, setting them into parties, exploring and patrolling the map while keeping them away from the overpowered towers at the bottom. It's the third mission in the last expansion.
